Ex-cabbie John Boyd's life is one big joke - he's the spitting image of Billy Connelly. Hundreds of punters were fooled into thinking he was the scruffy Scottish funnyman when they climbed into the back of his Blackpool taxi but after a year of ear-ache he quit the business to perform comedy turns in clubs instead.

He said "I've never gone out of my way to look like Billy. But I'm a hippy at heart and have my hair long. I even wear grandad shirts like the Scotsman, and with the beard I'm as close as you can get to being a double."

John has returned to his first love of music and performs in clubs with his wife Deborah.
