Born in Blackpool, Syd met Eddie Large over 40 years ago whilst playing the pubs & clubs of Manchester. Winning "Opportunity Knocks" in 1971, followed by 13 weeks on "Crackerjack" and their own shows on ITV and 14 years with the BBC, over 30 pantomimes, summer seasons, numerous Royal Variety shows; Syd has many amusing stories and a good comedy routine.

With his warm personality he is perfect for cruises, after dinner speaking and pantomimes giving him the opportunity to show how versitile he is (without Eddie butting in).
