Norman Collier

Yorkshire comedian Norman Collier is celebrating over 40 years as an entertainer. He became famous overnight in 1971 when he stopped the show at his first appearance in the Royal Variety Performance attended by the Queen and Princess and was subsequently acclaimed by the press who said:

"Unknown comedian Norman Collier won a standing ovation for his act in the Royal Variety Show" -- Daily Express.

"Norman turned out to be one of the big successes of this year's Royal Knees-up" -- Daily Mirror.

In constant demand not only for his hysterical cabaret act and after-dinner speeches, but also for TV and Radio Commercial, Norman still finds time to do regular Charity appearances.

His repertoire of showbusiness stories and hilarious anecdotes 'of the business' have developed now being a firm favourite on the After Dinner Speakers circuit.

After his successful performances and chat shows on the Arcadia for P&O. Norman is now a regular celebrity entertaining on the Cruise Liners touring the world.

Norman is looking forward to doing what he enjoys most in making people laugh - an occupation he looks like enjoying for many years to come.
