Bootleg Bowie.

Bootleg Bowie UK aka Nick Butcher has been performing in various bands around the UK for many years. Originally a guitarist, then later a lead vocalist/guitarist, nick finally settled in an 80s tribute group called 80s Revolution. They have now been together for over ten years. In the group Nick plays guitar and shares the lead vocal duties with bass player James.Their web site is www.80srevolution.com
It was only in an attempt to play more gigs during lean times with the group that Nick decided to start a solo tribute to David Bowie, whom he had long admired. Some years on and Bootleg Bowie is going stronger than ever.
The show is constantly evolving as new ideas and songs are incorporated.
The present show boasts a first set of Bowie's 70s era, with costume based on 'Aladin Sane'. Then an onstage magician like change into Slacks and braces from 'The Serious Moonlight Tour', and straight into songs like 'Let's dance' and 'China girl', from Bowie's 80s period.
The third set is more laid back and gives Nick a welcome rest from the more restricting costumes worn in the first set, with one taken from Bowie's more recent ' A Reality Tour '. The songs however remain classics from the 70s and 80s, widely considered to be Bowie's best work.
At shows, Nick is always accompanied by his sound engineer and keyboard player Mike (Garson) Dacombe!!, who can sometimes be roped into accompaniying Nick on a final song of the night, fully live version of a Bowie classic...You will have to see the show to find out what one it is!!
